For the next few weeks, Sharon Dolin (right, in Retiro Park, Madrid), will post periodically from the Fundación Valparaiso in Mojácar, Spain, where she is an artist-in-residence. Sharon's fourth book Burn and Dodge (Pitt Poetry Series) won the AWP Donald Hall Prize in Poetry. She is Writer-in-Residence at Eugene Lang College, The New School, teaches at the Unterberg Poetry Center of the 92nd Street Y, and directs The Center for Book Arts Annual Letterpress Poetry Chapbook Competition.

Congratulations to Moira Egan, our Rome-based correspondent, who has received much deserved good news lately: Her Bar Napkin Sonnets won the The Ledge 2008 Chapbook Competition and will be published later this year. Her second full-length collection, SPIN, will be published in spring 2010 by Entasis Press. Read more about Moira Egan here.
