Rachel Barenblat, Guest Author September 30 – October 4

RachelBgroovy-rabbiThis week we welcome Rachel Barenblat as our guest author. Rachel holds an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars
and rabbinic ordination from ALEPH: the Alliance for Jewish Renewal. She
is author of several chapbooks and of two book-length collections — 70 faces: Torah poems (Phoenicia, 2011) and Waiting to Unfold (Phoenicia, 2013) — and her third book is due out in 2014. Since 2003 she has blogged as The Velveteen Rabbi,
and her blog was named one of the top 25 on the internet by TIME in
2008. She serves a small congregation in western Massachusetts where she
lives with her husband Ethan Zuckerman and their son. Find her online
