Coming back from Plumfield one night
Looking at the people on the moving walks
You know, those automatic conveyor-belts
That move you through airports and such
I was thinking it might not be a bad time
To stop time because for me it was moving
Too fast — I simply had no time to get anything
Done and was being swept away! At which
Moment I saw a man in a suit and tie step on
The moving platform with his briefcase
No doubt returning from a hard day’s work
Eager to reach home and relax. For him
Time probably wasn’t moving fast enough
