Brown University senior Alexandra Zelman-Doring, who won the annual Glascock Mount Holyoke last month, was inspired to write the following poem by the sight of the three judges crossing a foot bridge on the Holyoke campus in South Hadley, Massachusetts:
Pantheismus, Pluralitas, Poetria

Wait, companionable green
Of the scent made spring
Of the ear fashioned bird,
Your golden patch of age,
Spreading over under
Streaming through the god-sent.
Every way of talking
Is to nature. In and for and to.
Three poets on a bridge.
The bench man made, awaiting
But they pass it.
Wait, that the over-heard
By god, a silence, each
Her green gives part. Ear
Of the one-too-many eyed.
There is no silence to this bridge.
It has no maker, when they pass it
Who imagine a plurality of green,
All spring, all tame, all lifted.
