<<< June 11, 2012 — The Academy of American Poets is pleased to announce that Jennifer Benka has been named the organization's next Executive Director. She will return to New York City, where she received her MFA in poetry at the New School. She has worked in San Francisco, most recently as the National Director of Development and Marketing for 826 National. She will assume her new role at the Academy on July 16. >>>
