In NYC? You cannot miss the Tibor de Nagy Gallery Painters & Poets 60th Anniversary show

DeNagyshow

We went to the opening last week and it was so crowded that we didn't have enough time to take in all of the artwork and memorabilia on display.  Plus there are a couple of movies to watch.  It's all great and makes one nostalgic for the time when these great poets and painters were mixing up their new and flavorful stew of words and pictures.  You'll see some never before and rarely seen work.  Douglas Crase, who wrote the show's catalogue tells us that the Larry Rivers painting, above, was discovered in an attic, where it had presumably languished for decades. Read the New York Times review here.  And put this show on your must-do list.  It's up until March 5, but you'll want to go more than once.  It's that good.
