We're thrilled that Mark Bibbins will begin posting selections from the poems he published as the poetry editor of the now-shuttered "Awl" magazine. Mark is the author of four books of poems: Sky Lounge, which received a Lambda Literary Award; The Dance of No Hard Feelings; They Don’t Kill You Because They’re Hungry, They Kill You Because They’re Full; and 13th Balloon, forthcoming from Copper Canyon Press in 2020. Bibbins teaches in the graduate writing programs of The New School and Columbia University, and NYU’s Writers in Florence program. He was a cofounder of LIT magazine and edited the poetry section of The Awl from 2009 to 2018. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, The Paris Review, and four editions of The Best American Poetry. He lives in New York City.
