Tonight's Zinc Bar reading features Susie Timmons, Bob Hershon and (ta-da!) me, Sharon Mesmer! at the bar's new location, 82 West Third Street (just off Thompson), formerly the Baggott Inn, formerly the Cinderella Club — where Billie Holiday once sang. The vaguely Middle Eastern decor is all but gone, but the attitude-fueled bar-wenches remain. Yay! The readings are now hosted by Kim Lyons, Joe Elliott and Douglas Rothschild, and $5 will provide you with the opportunity to spend $8 on headachey wine. And to hear some truly kick-ass poetry. The ass-kicking begins 'round 7pm-ish, just like before. Vitamin-load the B complex and drink up!
