The Annual Poets House Showcase has become the go-to event for poets, publishers, and literary lovers to discover what’s new in the world of poetry. This year’s exhibition, featuring almost 3,000 volumes from over 700 sources – from micro-presses to major publishing houses – opens with readings and festivities, and will be on view through August 16.
The Showcase opens for viewing TONIGHT, Thursday June 26 at 5:30pm.
At 7:00pm, this year’s Opening Readings will be by renowned poet and CUNY Grad professor Meena Alexander from Birthplace with Buried Stones (Triquarterly); acclaimed nonfiction author and poet Jennifer Michael Hecht, from Who Said (Copper Canyon Press); poet and long-time Best American Poetry series editor David Lehman, from his New and Selected Poems (Scribner); and poet Rachel Zucker, from The Pedestrians (Wave Books).
