Rochelle Hurt Guest Author July 7-11

RochelleHurtThis week we welcome Rochelle Hurt as our guest author. Rochelle is the author of The Rusted City, a novel in poems published by White Pine Press in the Marie Alexander Poetry Series (2014). Her work has been included in Best New Poets 2013 and listed as notable in Best American Essays 2013. She has been awarded several literary prizes, including the 2013 Richard Peterson Poetry Prize from Crab Orchard Review, Tupelo Quarterly's TQ3 Poetry Prize, the 2011 Rumi Poetry Prize from Arts & Letters, the 2011 Ruth Stone Poetry Prize from Hunger Mountain, and the 2010 Poetry International Prize. Her poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction have been published in journals like Mid-American ReviewCincinnati ReviewThe Southeast ReviewThe Kenyon Review Online, and Image. She holds an MFA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and she is a PhD student in English/Creative Writing at the University of Cincinnati.
