You may have read his Comedy by the Numbers (McSweeney’s), the world’s most useful how-to manual that can teach even the dullest and most humorless among you to be at least as funny as…well..as Anthony Michael Hall (except on purpose); now read "Poetry by the Numbers" by friend and miracle worker Gary Rudoren over that the poetry foundation.  You’ll have won that fellowship in the time it takes to skin a cat (which on second thought, might take a long time if you’ve never done it before.  And I imagine the cleanup might be substantial.  But anyway.)
